Senior Experience Designer (Marketing)

Keap's Creative and Content team is seeking a Senior Experience Designer adept in UX/UI, interaction design, and rapid prototyping. Show small business owners how Keap helps them turn leads into happy clients. Improve current user experiences and create exceptional new ones. Champion a meaningful digital-first brand. Work in a team that's high trust and low-ego. You’d report to the Design Manager under the Director of Creative and Content within Marketing.

Core capabilities:

  • Rapid prototyping: define problems, ideate, low-fi & hi-fi prototype, test, and iterate 
  • UX strategy: conduct audits, map user flows, wireframe, improve feedback loops, and provide usability insights
  • UI design: innovate Keap’s digital look & feel, UI kits, and component design to be more usable, branded, and accessible
  • Interaction design: create UI animation & interactivity, motion prototypes, device mockups, and new shop/try/buy experiences

What you will do:

  • Advocate for user-centered design strategies that meet business goals
  • Reimagine product demos, free trials, and purchase experiences to be seamless
  • Create high quality designs, interactions, and prototypes
  • Improve journeys on (and to) Keap.com to turn prospects into customers
  • Balance UX insights, strategic messaging, product insight, and brand insight to improve experiences and hit KPIs
  • Co-create tight UI components and interactions with designers and developers
  • Partner with UX Research to understand and fulfill user goals—sometimes in unexpected ways
  • Improve global experiences through impeccable partnership with Marketing, Product, Sales, and CX
  • Lead design and UX workshops with confidence
  • Present and defend strategies, scrappy ideas, and refined comps
  • Seek diverse insights early and often to improve designs and iterate fast
  • Shape strategy by collaborating with project drivers as partners
  • Whiteboard concepts and create complex digital wireframes to user test
  • Build paper, digital, and live prototypes
  • Proactively identify and improve key user interactions
  • Coach other Keapers on experience design
  • Contribute to positive dynamics
  • Balance day-to-day priorities with big picture projects

What you bring to the table:

  • Agency or in-house experience partnering directly with clients
  • Device-inclusive, user-centered design thinking
  • Exceptional empathy and communication skills
  • Active listening and nimble thinking
  • Confidence to take risks
  • Iterative design mindset
  • Eagerness to gain team buy-in early
  • Desire to collaborate with developers and other designers
  • Comfort with data-driven decision-making and fast-paced 
  • Self-managed with time and tasks

Technical nitty-gritty:

  • Advanced in design programs such as Figma or Sketch
  • Advanced in user flow prototyping (Figma, Invision, etc.)
  • Strong foundation in design principles and interactive design
  • Has prototyped UI animation (Principle, Framer, etc.)
  • Has built tight UI kits and modular design systems
  • Has designed apps, dashboards, or product flows
  • Has woven brand personality into online experiences
  • Familiar with user research and testing
  • Familiar with HTML/CSS (dev experience not required)
