VP Marketing (PMM, Growth and Creative)

Chandler, Arizona

The VP Marketing (PMM, Growth and Creative) will play a critical leadership role within Marketing and across the entire company, working closely with the Demand Generation and Content leaders to help us dominate the category of Sales and Marketing Automation for Entrepreneurs. As a senior leader of the Marketing team, you will own and build a team that delivers aggressive acquisition and conversion goals. This high-impact position brings significant responsibility and candidates should have demonstrated the capacity to lead teams to achieve significant results. Position reports to the CMO.

Key Responsibilities

Product Marketing
Establish the strategic foundation for the next stage of go-to-market growth:

  • Market Research: Opportunity analysis, prospect/customer interviews
  • Product planning: Roadmap recommendations, release & launch planning
  • Product-market fit: Planning, beta testing, analysis
  • Pricing and packaging: Pricing task force, market analysis, pricing rollout
  • Go to market launches: GTM launch campaign theme/messaging, asset creation, rollout, impact analysis, monthly release videos.
  • Sales enablement: Battle cards, sales tools and customer stories
  • Positioning and messaging: Category, personas, messaging framework
  • Coordination with PMM efforts in Expansion/Customer Marketing

Growth Marketing
Define and build a scalable growth marketing function that expands our market presence through:

  • Growth Hacking
  • Competitive intelligence program: monitoring, triage, innovation roadmap
  • Funnel design and optimization
  • Conversion rate optimization

Performance Creative
Lead a performance-oriented creative function that produces high-converting assets through each stage of the customer experience. 

  • Buyer user experience analysis and design
  • Copy, video and design creative fulfillment
  • Performance marketing

 Required Skills and Experience

  • 5-8+ years of experience in product marketing at a fast growing company
  • Significant experience and success marketing to small business owners (especially $100k-$3M in revenue)
  • Prior experience in a strategic role owning positioning, messaging, pricing, and competitive analysis
  • Significant experience in SaaS B2B technology marketing
  • Strong technical depth and ability to learn quickly, balanced with sharp business acumen
  • People-focused leader with proven ability to build creative, collaborative teams; develop people; and link performance to overall business objectives
  • Excellent collaboration and organizational skills, excelling at both high-level thinking and execution as well as influencing and inspiring others to achieve a common goal
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. This role demands someone who is gifted in their ability to use the spoken and written word to communicate effectively with all levels of stakeholders. 
  • History of deep nuanced understanding and expertise in product
  • Demonstrated small business passion and empathy
  • Analytics and testing expertise and heavy Performance Marketing/Conversion Rate Optimization experience

Highly Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Sales and Marketing Automation experience a major plus (CRM, Sales Automation, Marketing Automation, E-commerce)
  • Category creation experience a major plus
