Video Editor


We are looking for a Video Editor with a passion for small business with great storytelling that drives action. This role will work closely with the video team lead to create testimonials, customer stories, tutorials, promos, ads, and other videos.  You will partner with internal marketing stakeholders, to support strategic marketing initiatives at Keap.  A curious mind, with a desire for autonomy will serve you well, as we are in a collaborative, open culture of high performers. Success is defined by video fulfillment, operationalizing video production and other video responsibilities as needed.

What Will You Be Responsible For?

  • Creating world-class brand video content, which may include video ads for various paid ad channels and social media as well as branded educational and marketing content, and evolving into a wide range of projects including livestreams as well as in-studio productions for web and mobile as requested by the marketing team.
  • Participate in meetings with the creative team, including stakeholders, designers, social media, content and developers to represent production needs and participate in regular brainstorm sessions.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to organize video efforts for myriad projects, both internal and external. Work with agency partners and freelance talent, as needed. 
  • Advise relevant stakeholders on video best practices, strategies, tactics, and push for creative excellence.
  • Execute video production workflow. 
  • Assist internal teams on video production.
  • Executing on feedback quickly and professionally, making changes to meet strategic goals, even when it conflicts with personal taste.  


Required Qualifications

  • Two+ years of experience in video editing including basic knowledge of video production (operating cameras, mics, lighting, etc.).
  • Strong organizational skills, and must embrace risk-taking and innovation.
  • Has knowledge in or ability to learn new skills and technologies, such as livestreaming, directing, lighting & cinematography, and desire to grow the role beyond editing, eventually fulfilling on complete video creation independently.
  • Solutions and results-driven and gets satisfaction from getting video to market quickly and tracking the impact of compelling customer testimonial videos to thought-leadership videos to video tutorials and more.
  • Strong communication skills with stakeholders to level-up production and effectiveness.
  • Above average knowledge of video editing software Final Cut Pro. and familiarity with Adobe Premiere.  
  • Known for delivering quality video productions consistently and being a creative problem solver.
  • Knowledge of Canon, Sony and other cameras as well as audio equipment.
  • Highly organized, in particular with projects and asset management.
  • Execute on all technical aspects of video editing, including audio.
  • Produce five videos weekly.
  • Excellent communicator with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with Google Docs Suite, Microsoft Office and Outlook.
  • Produce high-quality projects within budget and on-time.
  • Ability to work at occasional off-site locations for shoots and occasional travel.

Nice to haves:

  • Ability to produce and shoot videos. 
  • Motion Graphics experience with After Effects and/or Motion
  • Podcasting experience, including production & distribution.
  • Experience running livestreams and the associated equipment.
