Overview: As the Manager of Event Production, you will be responsible for leading a dynamic team to plan, execute, and evaluate a variety of events. Your role involves strategic planning, meticulous execution, and ensuring that events align with the organization's objectives. As a leader in the events department, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional experiences for attendees while managing resources effectively.

What you’ll be doing...

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive event strategy in alignment with organizational goals.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand event objectives, target audience, and key messaging.

  • Innovate and contribute creative ideas to enhance the overall impact of events.

  • Team Leadership and Development:

    • Lead, inspire, and manage a team of event professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work culture.

    • Provide clear direction, assign responsibilities, and support the professional development of team members.

    • Conduct regular team meetings to share updates, gather feedback, and enhance communication.

  • Project Management:

    • Oversee the planning and execution of events, managing project timelines, budgets, and resources.

    • Work closely with cross-functional teams to coordinate logistics, including venue selection, catering, audio-visual requirements, and transportation.

    • Ensure events are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.

  •  Vendor and Partner Management:

    • Identify, negotiate with, and manage relationships with external vendors, suppliers, and partners.

    • Evaluate vendor performance and negotiate contracts to optimize value and service quality. 

    • Collaborate with vendors to ensure seamless execution and adherence to event standards.

  •  Financial Oversight:

    • Develop and manage event budgets, tracking expenses and ensuring financial goals are met.

    • Provide regular financial reports to leadership and identify opportunities for cost optimization.

    • Collaborate with finance teams to reconcile budgets and expenditures.

Who you are:

  • Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Marketing, or a related field.

  • Proven experience in large-scale event planning and production, for both in-person and virtual events, with demonstrated leadership in managerial roles.

  • Strong project management skills and attention to detail.

  • Exceptional leadership and team management capabilities.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Proficiency in event management software and tools.
