We started Keap in 2001. Like many new business owners, we had that entrepreneurial spark and an exciting vision of working for ourselves. Little did we know what we were getting ourselves into!
Early on we had lots of raw ambition and ideas to spare, but also doubts and doubters who suggested we get a “real job”. We learned some awesome, painful, and valuable lessons through the first chaotic years. Those experiences galvanized our love for fellow entrepreneurs, and our total hatred for small business chaos and failure. We grew our business the hard way, but learned freedom from business chaos is possible with the right mindset and systems.
Ultimately we found our true mission: to empower entrepreneurs by simplifying growth. We created the first all-in-one CRM, sales and marketing automation platform built specifically for growth-minded entrepreneurs. Through powerful automation, what took hours now took minutes. That was the big game changer and our “aha” moment.

Our football field is roughly 1:5 scale of a professional field—measuring 85' long x 40' wide.
We have our own Dream Room where Keapers can work, reflect, and write their own small business dreams on the walls.
Keap’s cereal bar is a great place for a quick snack and to remember our small business roots when the owners were struggling and could only afford cereal for meals.
No one was fully prepared for the sudden onslaught of the Coronavirus (COVID-19). Keap knows small businesses are among those with the greatest challenges and quickly rallied to create the Keep Going Fund to help small businesses in need.
The first round of the $100,000 Keep Going Fund distributed $500 to 200 small businesses to help them manage the ups and downs that come with times of uncertainty.
We also offered free daily “Office Hours” with experts, “Automation Hours” for our customers, and additional expert coaching for new customers.
Phase two fund
As the COVID-19 pandemic intensified, we soon realized that even more needed to be done to keep the spirit of entrepreneurship alive. That’s why we invested another $100,000 in phase two of the Keep Going Fund—$50,000 of which is dedicated to Black-owned businesses. We are thrilled to help 100 companies in need “keep going” with $1000 grants.
