We recently made a lot of impactful changes to your Keap app, and we want to make sure you’re taking full advantage of one feature that got some of the most exciting updates: Pipelines*.

The changes to Pipelines may seem subtle, but that’s only until you dive in to really see what they mean for your business. Pipelines will now save you time and benefit your customers, but their full impact on your business will surprise you in the best way.

Let’s dive into the updates and how you can start benefiting from them today.

*Note: Pipelines is not yet available on Ultimate, but stay tuned! We're working on bringing this awesome feature to Ultimate users ASAP.

What we changed

Pipelines has found a new home in your app: This feature is now safe and sound in the My Day section. Don’t panic, though! You can still get to your pipelines via the Sales section, but get used to seeing them in My Day because it’s a much more fitting place for them (we’ll explain why in a bit)!

When you navigate to that new Pipelines location, you’ll also notice an unfamiliar (but exciting) page. That’s because we’ve added a brand-new Summary view. This is what you’ll land on when you go to access your Pipelines, and it will give you a comprehensive view of all your active Pipelines so you can easily stay up to date.

Now, at first glance, this move won’t rock your world, but before you write these changes off, you have to explore the why behind them. And why other customers are giving us stellar feedback about how these updates are improving their internal workflows, saving them time, and helping them provide a better experience for their customers from beginning to end.

How Pipelines were previously used

Once upon a time (a.k.a a few months ago), Pipelines were tucked away in your app’s Sales section. This is because, historically, teams used this feature solely for sales pipelines to help them manage and move along long-term sales processes. This method operated perfectly and it’s what’s helped thousands of small businesses we work with streamline their sales process and increase their conversion rates in a smooth, repeatable way.

But Pipelines worked so well for sales that teams started to use it for all areas of their business to solve complex problems. In fact, we’ve consistently found that the teams who are saving the most time, getting the most ROI from their software and hitting their growth goals year after year all have one thing in common: They use Keap’s Pipelines across their entire customer lifecycle.

This is good news because it means you can experience those results too, and our changes to Pipelines were designed to help get you there faster.

How the changes will help you automate and optimize

Because Pipelines are so versatile and can be used for marketing tasks and other workflows your team needs, it only made sense to move them to their own section instead of keeping them limited to sales. However, this switch is more than just logistical. Our main purpose in doing this is to make it easier for all users and their teams to put this feature to work throughout every stage of their customer journey.

So what does that look like? Well, you can use Pipelines to manage anything in your business that requires complicated steps before the desired action or entire task is complete. A few examples include:

  • Customer onboarding: No matter how you spin it, onboarding comes with a lot of moving parts. There can be forms to sign, webinars to watch, people to meet with and more. With all these tasks to complete, you need something to keep track of which customers have completed each phase, and Pipelines can do that for you. You can also use this for employee onboarding, which entails just as many, if not more, steps to monitor.
  • Product fulfillment: Ensure timely fulfillment of all your orders by creating a pipeline dedicated to the product process. By tracking the steps, such as order packaging, delivery of tracking details, and review requests, you can keep things moving forward without the stress of manually juggling multiple customer orders at a time. It’ll relieve the pressure on you and round out your customer’s experience on a positive note.
  • Services delivery: If you’re selling services, Pipelines can be a game changer. Use this feature to monitor appointment scheduling, confirmations, reminders and any other tasks that need to happen before, during, or after the service. And, of course, you can use it to track the completion of each service until the process is complete.

And let’s not forget the addition of the new Pipelines Summary view. This shows you at a glance all the pipelines you have in motion. Plus, when you click into each individual pipeline, you can either navigate to a Board that shows the pipeline’s various steps and the active deals or audience members within those steps, or you can opt for the List view for when you have a large number of items that need attention.

The awesome part about the List view is you can take bulk actions by selecting multiple items on the left-hand side of the navigation. From there, you can do things like move selected deals from one stage to another or even to a completely different pipeline. You’ll also be able to sort by status, stage, deal value and more.

We could talk all day about what taking full advantage of Pipelines can do for your business, but nothing is as valuable and convincing as checking the changes out for yourself. Log into your Keap app to experience the updates, and catch an entire summary of all the announcements we made at our Product Update Livestream in our recap blog.
