Have you ever been cooking up some business automation magic in your Keap app and noticed some tiny details of the software you wished you could improve?
It’s okay. You can admit it. We won’t be offended because we do the same thing. Our product team recently took a good hard look at the Automation Builder and realized some things needed to change in order to save you time and give you a more seamless experience in your app. So they got to work, gathered customer feedback and made some small but mighty changes that will save you time and help you more intuitively build, edit, sort and filter your automations.
There’s quite a bit to cover, and we’re going to break it all down for you in this article.
Who are these updates for?
We have a lot to get to, but before we do, you might be wondering if the following updates even apply to you. The short answer is if you’re a Keap customer, these changes are for you! The updates you are about to see are live and ready to use for Keap Pro, Max, and Ultimate users.
If you happen to be using Keap Classic, you’ll need to toggle to Ultimate to explore and enjoy the fresh changes. To do that, navigate to Admin > Settings in the main navigation menu. Then, select General Application Settings and at the bottom of the page, you’ll find the option to Enable Keap Ultimate Navigation. Select yes, and you’ll be good to go and enjoy the updates!
If you need additional help with this process, check out our help article for more details. Now, let’s get to the fun stuff.
Simplified, streamlined navigation
Previously, your Keap app didn’t house all your automations in the same place. Advanced and Easy automations* were split up, making you jump between different parts of your app to get to various campaigns. We wanted to save you some time (and clicks), so we consolidated all your automations under one section.
You can now find Advanced Automations and Easy Automations under My Automations in your app. Simply navigate to that area and you’ll be able to quickly switch between both sections with one tap. Plus, while you’re there, you can jump right into action with new intuitive navigation additions.
*Please note that Easy Automations are not yet available in Keap Ultimate, but they’re coming soon!
Sort, select, filter
Once you’re in the My Automations section, you have tons of possibilities at your fingertips because our team has added the following capabilities:
- Quickly select as many automations as you want and take group action, rather than having to manage each automation individually.
- Highlighted in blue at the top right of your My Automations page is the option to filter, allowing you to sort automations by their status: published, draft, uncategorized and other categories you’ve created.
- You can also manage automation categories by clicking the ellipsis at the top right corner of your screen.
With these tweaks, the more automations you have, the merrier because you can sort, bulk select and filter to find what you need in less time than ever before, no matter how many campaigns you have stored in your app.
Easy access to quick actions
Along with sorting, selecting and filtering, you can also use the ellipsis next to each automation to get to work within each individual campaign.
When you tap the ellipsis, you’ll have a few options. If the automation is published, you can edit, pull up reporting information, see details, add contacts and delete. For unpublished automations, you’ll be able to edit and delete.
These quick-access options enable you to quickly jump into action from your My Automations page, but that’s not all. When it comes to creating brand-new automations, we’ve made a few changes that will help you get started and complete campaigns more efficiently.
To create a new automation, you’ll use the blue button in the top right corner of your screen. From there, of course, you can start from scratch by clicking Advanced automation or Easy automation. But, here’s where it gets exciting, if you’re looking to save some time and manual work, you can now select Start from a template to jump into 12 new Proven Automation Templates. These templates are pre-built and ready to customize to your specific business. Broken down by automation category — marketing, sales, services and operations — it’s easy to find what you need, plug it into your workflow and keep moving.
Make the most of these updates with two next steps
When it comes to these new changes, there are two things you can do, one you can start today and the other will come a few months from now.
First and foremost (and most obviously): Get in your app and explore! There’s no better way to understand the new updates than to see them in action, so head on over to your small business CRM and automation app, select My Automations and play around with these changes yourself.
