We’re excited to share November’s updates — a set of enhancements designed to streamline communication, strengthen branding, and give users more control over how they collect, segment, and engage contacts across Thryv.
Below is a breakdown of what’s new and how these improvements impact your day-to-day workflows.
Send Test Emails with Displayed Merge Fields
A clearer, more predictable email testing experience is now available.
Users can preview exactly which merge fields are being applied in the subject line, preview text, and body when sending test emails. This removes guesswork and helps users instantly confirm whether they’re using standard merge fields or automation-based merge fields.
For those building emails in advanced automations or broadcasts, we’ve also added:
A new selector allowing users to choose which contact populates the merge fields
Additional help text for improved clarity while building complex workflows
30 New Google Fonts for Landing Pages & Pop-Up Builder
To help users maintain visual consistency across their digital presence, we’ve added 30 new Google Fonts to landing pages and the pop-up builder.
This enhancement gives businesses more flexibility when aligning their brand identity within Thryv’s design tools. These fonts are also supported in Solution Launchpad, ensuring cohesive styling across surfaces.
Note: These new fonts are not supported in email due to limitations within major email clients.
Send Emails From Custom Merge Fields in Automations
Users can now send emails from custom merge fields within the Automation Builder.
This improvement unlocks more dynamic message delivery, enabling:
Context-aware sender details
More personalized and relevant communications
Easier segmentation without manual setup
By reducing steps needed to craft tailored workflows, this update helps users deliver emails that feel more authentic — and ultimately drive stronger engagement.
Virtual Fields with Apply Tags in Internal Forms
Virtual Fields with Apply Tags, introduced last month for public forms, are now available in internal forms as well.
Users can assign tags to individual field options within internal forms, enabling smarter organization and automation when team members create or update contact records. This update provides:
More accurate internal data capture
Stronger segmentation opportunities
Seamless automation triggers tied to internal workflows
This enhancement expands the flexibility of Virtual Fields and ensures consistent data handling across both public and internal form types.
A Major Update for Developer Partners: Full REST v2 Parity
Thryv’s v2 REST API has officially reached full feature parity with our XMLRPC API — a major milestone for developers building on the Thryv platform. This transition unlocks a modern integration experience built around speed, security, and long-term scalability.
Developers can now migrate to REST v2 with full confidence, knowing every existing XMLRPC capability is available through faster, cleaner REST endpoints.
Moving Forward
This month’s releases continue our investment in improving performance, personalization, and platform usability across Thryv. Your partnership will benefit from these updates by helping you and your clients finish the year strong.
